Deep River Man Killed In Essex Wrong-Way Crash
A New London man was seriously injured and a Deep River man was killed in the Monday accident.
ESSEX, CT - A New London man was seriously injured and a Deep River man was killed in a Monday evening crash, according to The Day. Joseph Kaplowe, Jr. 70, of New London, was taken to Hartford Hospital with serious injuries after he was struck in the head-on collision.
David Moran, 38, of Deep River, who drove his car the wrong way on Route 9 south, died at the scene. A third driver was uninjured.
