Elizabeth E. Shea

After moving to the shoreline in the 1960s, Elizabeth was able to pursue her love of the arts that she had enjoyed with her mother and growing family. Later, she joined the Madison Art Society and attended classes at the Adult Edu. Program.

In the early 1990s, while still employed full time, she joined the Clinton Art Society and entered the summer shows every year. After retiring, she became the Treas. in 2001 and continued in that position until 2013. She has been involved with events and exhibits since then, especially Waters Edge.

Her paintings are mostly of local scenes done in watercolor. Some pieces are pencil or acrylic and are of a whimsical nature. They can be found in private collections in various areas and towns where family and friends are located. She has also donated paintings and cards to non-profit organizations for fundraisers. More recently, there has been interest in her note cards depicting local vistas and buildings.
