Morgan Boys JV Basketball Team Captures Summer League Title

The Morgan High School Boy's JV basketball team recently competed in the Mike Small Summer Basketball League in Wallingford and were crowned league champions. The boys competed against teams from Branford, Lyman Hall, Sheehan, Southington, and Xavier high schools and were able to finish league play with a record of 8 wins and 2 loses.

The team received a first round by in the playoffs and advanced to the finals with a forfeit victory in the semi-finals. In a back and forth league final the boys finished off the season with an exciting double overtime victory verses Xavier to claim the league championship.

Team members are Dominic Cacopardo, Cam Carlson, Jason Cohen, Connor Duffy, Alex Fratamico, Zach Johnson, Gavin Krott, Drew Nye, Mason Smith, Alex Urban, and Rob Zirlis and the team was coached by coaches Boyd Johnson, Jeff Cohen, and Rob Zirlis.
