Morgan Seeks to Bring First State Baseball Title Home to Clinton

Championship Weekend in Connecticut high school sports got started with a bang Thursday night, as Ridgefield and Darien engaged in a grueling five-game battle in Class L boys volleyball.

Ridgefield came from the brink of elimination to emerge victorious, claiming its third straight title and fourth overall. Game scores were 18-25, 25-19, 22-25, 25-22 and 15-9.

Two state softball title games will be played Friday night, then 12 championship tilts involving teams from Patch towns will be contested Saturday.
