Obituary: Howard W. Hathaway Sr., 84
He loved his family dearly and was a friend to all and would not think twice to help his fellow man. He will be dearly missed.

Howard William Hathaway Sr., 84, passed away on July 9, 2019 at Middlesex Memorial Hospital, Hospice Unit. Howard is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Karen Ward Hathaway. Five sisters, Rose Zadrozny (predeceased), Alice Horne, Linda Stray, Wanda Hathaway, and Brenda Thayer. His legacy includes his children, Howard, Jr. (Alex), Cheryl Hall (Robert), and Mark (Dyann). Stepchildren, Matthew Platts (Lori), Timothy Scully (Heather), and Kiersa Hathaway. Grandchildren include Heather Manly, Teri Richards, Tina Phelan, Cristy Bailey, Shawn Hathaway, Stephan Hathaway, Michael Hathaway, James Platts, Jeremiah Platts, Finn Scully and Declan Scully, Joshua Ward, and Gabriella Frank. Great Grandchildren include Mariella Roman, Jose Roman, Danielle Phelan, Julius Phelan, Lucas Richards, Gabriel Richards, Mason Manly and Griffin Manly. He also leaves his feline friend, Tiggie.
Howard attended Lyman Hall in Wallingford and his primary career was in construction, and he was known by all to be the gold standard employee.

He was a proud member of the former St. Mark's Church of Westbrook.
