Obituary: Robert A. Caporale, 81, of Clinton

Robert A. Caporale, 81, of Clinton, CT and formerly of Bronx, NY, beloved father and husband, passed away on Thursday May 2, 2019 peacefully at home. Born in Bronx, NY on January 7, 1938, he was the son of the late Antonio and Stephanie (Ida) Caporale and the loving husband to the late MaryJane Caporale.

After serving in the U.S. Army, Robert worked for the Town of Old Saybrook in the Department of Public Works/Highway Department. He was a member of the Clinton Volunteer Fire Department, enjoyed participating the Annual Blue Fish Festival and many other town events. He loved spending time with his family and friends. He was always putting others in front of his own needs.

Robert is survived by his four children; Robert A. Caporale Jr. and his wife Chrystal of Niantic, Donna D’Amico and her husband Darrel of Clinton, Stephanie Helie and her husband Michael of Clarksville, TN and Deborah Welch and her husband Thomas of Rockland, MA. Nine grandchildren; Darrel Jr., Jackie, Ray, Chris, Bobby, Brittany, Zavier, Evan and Thomas. Twelve great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
