Michael has worked since 1985 as an independent graphic designer, photographer, and illustrator providing visual communication services to a broad range of corporate, institutional, and non-profit clients. He works to effectively organize ideas and data into relevant and accessible information which is visually communicated using a variety of media.
Michael’s work in photography began with film, particularly using medium and large format cameras both in the field and the studio. Although he now uses mostly digital equipment, the process remains largely the same. The goal is to render the image accurately using the camera without excessive post processing on the computer. To Michael, it is important to preserve and celebrate the language of traditional photography even when pursuing experimental imagery.
