$14.00/hour

Hours
- Thursday: 4 – 6 pm
- Friday: 12 – 5 pm
- Saturday: 11 am – 4 pm (until 5:00 pm beginning in the spring)
Gallery Assistant responsibilities
- Welcoming customers into the gallery.
- Staying knowledgeable about merchandise in gallery.
- Accepting and processing sales. Process sales via credit card machine, cash, & checks.
- Maintaining gallery presentation and appearance of merchandise in the gallery (oversight of window displays, placement of art and artisan merchandise, creating sales labels).
- Dependability.
- Attention to Detail.
- Proficient in verbal and written English language.
- Telephone etiquette.
- Provide your own laptop.
- Taking photos of art and artisan gifts in the gallery for purposes of advertising.
- Helping with SEARCH for new artists and artisans.
- Some general cleaning of the gallery as needed.
- Communications: reasonable availability on telephone and email correspondence as needed.
- Future: oversight and management of off-site and special event shows.
