Renovated Old Saybrook McDonald's Reopens

The restaurant will be holding a grand reopening next week.

OLD SAYBROOK, CT — The McDonald's at 1061 Boston Post Road will have a grand reopening Tuesday, Dec. 10, to show off its upgraded offerings and new decor, according to a statement from the company. The new restaurant features include self-ordering kiosks, outdoor digital menu boards, a refreshed interior and an updated exterior.

“We’re happy to be delivering a better, more enhanced dining experience at Old Saybrook,” owner/operators Dick and Kathryn Spero said in a statement. “From touch screen kiosks to 24-hour drive thru service, it’s exciting to be redefining and reinventing the way our consumers interact with McDonald’s.”

Local and state officials will speak at the grand reopening at 10 a.m., which will also feature daily specials throughout the week and a sweepstakes for an HDTV which will be held from Dec. 10 through Dec. 15.

Last year, McDonald’s announced that the company and its franchisees are investing approximately $84 million in Connecticut throughout 2018 and 2019 on the construction and modernization of 90 McDonald’s restaurants. In total, McDonald’s and franchisees are investing $6 billion to modernize most U.S. restaurants by 2020.
