Road Closure Announced For Memorial Day Parade In Clinton

CLINTON, CT — Clinton Police have announced a road closure that will be in effect for the town’s Memorial Day Parade on Monday, May 27. Route 1 will be closed between the intersection of Route 145 in the East and Post Office Square in the West from approximately 10:50 a.m. through 12:15 p.m., according to police.

Liberty Street will also be closed at Long Hill Road at that time to facilitate the Memorial Day Parade. Traffic on Route 1 may be interrupted intermittently beginning at 10 a.m. in observance of the day's ceremonies.

“Please plan accordingly, all through traffic must find alternate routes to the North of Route 1 during the closure,” police said.
