Elderly Man Struck By Falling Tree in Clinton

Life Star was called to the scene.

At approximately 9:50 a.m. Tuesday, May 10, the Clinton Emergency Communications Center received a 911 call reporting a tree cutting accident.

"Upon arrival of first responders, it was determined that an elderly male patient was struck by a falling tree, but not pinned under it," according to the Clinton Volunteer Fire Department. "The crews removed the patient from the woods to the ambulance. The patient was the airlifted to Yale, New Haven Hospital via life star helicopter with serious injuries."

According to NBC Connecticut, the accident occurred in the Carter Hill Road and Houperts Way area.
