Norwalk Man Killed, 4 Injured In Crash On I-95 In Darien: Update
The one-car crash occurred early Sunday morning, according to Connecticut State Police.
DARIEN, CT — One person was killed and four more were injured early Sunday in a one-car crash on I-95 northbound between exits 9 and 10 in Darien, according to Connecticut State Police.
The person who was killed, 19-year-old Norwalk resident Victor Emanuel Deleon, was a passenger in the vehicle and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the 2007 Volkswagen Passat and three other passengers, all of whom also are from Norwalk, were taken to area hospitals.

The driver, 19-year-old Indira S. Rivera, and the other passengers, Chase Ortiz, 19; Julius C. Beau, 20; and Jordan A. Palmer, 20, all suffered serious injuries in the crash and were listed in serious condition, authorities said.
According to state police, the crash occurred at about 6:30 a.m., when the vehicle "veered off the road to the right for an unknown reason" and the struck a tree.

During the initial state police investigation of the crash, I-95 northbound temporarily was closed, and traffic was diverted off the thruway at exit 9. The roadway has since been reopened, writes News 12 Connecticut.
The crash remains under investigation.
