10 Unlocked Vehicles Burglarized In Darien, Police Say
The break-ins were reported between April 19 and April 22.
DARIEN, CT — Ten vehicles were broken into in Darien between April 19 and April 22, according to police, and in each case the vehicle had been left unlocked.
In seven of the cases, the burglars rummaged through the vehicles but nothing was taken.
However, from an Audi broken into on Park Lane on the 19th, a bank card was stolen, which was used in Bridgeport that day, Darien police said.

Also, a bank card was stolen from an Audi broken into on Relihan Road on the 21st, and that card was used the same day at the Interstate 95 rest stop in Darien.
In the third larceny, a cosmetics kit was reported stolen from a Lexus parked at a home on Beach Drive.

The other seven vehicle break-ins were reported on Lighthouse Way (2); Duffys Lane (2); and Laforge Road (1), according to police. Beach Drive and Relihan Road also had more than one vehicle burglary.
Vehicle break-ins and thefts have plagued Darien over the past several months, prompting police to issue warnings urging residents to lock their vehicles.
