4 Darien Residents Graduate from Loyola University Maryland

4 Darien residents graduated from Loyola University Maryland with degrees in Business Administration, Psychology and Accounting this May.

DARIEN, CT - From the desk of Loyola University Maryland: Loyola University Maryland recognized the following students from the class of 2017 at its Commencement Exercises held on Saturday, May 20, 2017 at Royal Farms Arena in downtown Baltimore.

  • Nikolas Cirillo, of Darien, received a BA degree in Psychology
  • Caitlin Burke, of Darien, received a BBA degree in Business Administration
  • Carl Stowell, of Darien, received a BBA degree in Accounting
  • Mara Donoghue, of Darien, received a BBA degree in Business Administration

The Commencement address at this year's ceremony was delivered by Jesuit priest and bestselling author, Rev. James Martin, S.J. Fr. Martin is the editor of the national Catholic magazine, America, and provides commentary on issues of religion, spirituality, and social justice in many national media outlets.

Established in 1852, Loyola University Maryland is a Catholic, Jesuit comprehensive university comprising Loyola College, home to the University's arts and sciences programs; the Sellinger School of Business and Management; and the School of Education. Loyola enrolls 4,000 undergraduate and 2,000 graduate students from across the country.
