Bicyclist Injured In Crash, Issued Warning: Darien PD
A bicyclist was struck by a vehicle and issued a warning for a violation, police said.
DARIEN, CT — A bicyclist was verbally warned after a crash on West Norwalk Road near the Post Road July 29.
A vehicle traveling on West Norwalk Road approached the intersection of Post Road and came to a stop before making a turn onto Post Road. The vehicle struck a bicyclist who was riding east on the Post Road in the shoulder of the westbound lane, police said.
The bicyclist had also come to a stop at the stop sign. The bicyclist complained of an injury, but declined transportation to an area hospital.

Police issued a verbal warning to the bicyclist for improper operation of a bicyclist for traveling in the shoulder of a roadway against vehicular traffic.
