Connecticut Weather: Snowflakes Today, Heavy Rain This Weekend

After a bit of light snow on Friday the weather changes significantly for the weekend. Here are the latest details.

Connecticut may see some snowflakes today but it won't amount to more than a coating in some towns and that sets the stage for a warmer weekend, but one that will feature a lot of rain. The National Weather Service has issued a Hazardous Weather Outlook for Hartford and Tolland counties for the possibility of flooding here on Sunday.

The National Weather Service says there is a "slight chance" of light snow today and then temps start to moderate Friday night. "It will turn even milder on Saturday as temperatures begin to climb above normal," the National Weather Service says. We can expect rain to move in Saturday night and it picks up in intensity on Sunday.

NBC Connecticut Meteorologist Ryan Hanrahan said, "A few snow showers expected (Friday) afternoon. A coating of snow is possible in some towns."
