Connecticut TV Station Welcomes New Reporter
Ken Houston joins the morning team at News 8.
CONNECTICUT — Connecticut news station WTNH-TV is welcoming a new reporter to its ranks, officials announced.
Before joining the New Haven-based News 8, Ken Houston's most recent television news job was as an anchor at WILX-TV In Lansing, Michigan.
At News 8, Houston will be part of the morning news team with reporters Kent Pierce and Samaia Hernandez.

According to his resume, Houston also held anchor and reporter jobs at television stations in Buffalo, Memphis and Kansas City.
He has also served as a press secretary for a couple of years in the New York state Senate, assigned to the Buffalo area. In that role, Houston not only handled media requests, he also wrote scripts and talking points for senators.

After his government role, Houston was a recruiter for Canisius College in Buffalo, where he "mentored students on the fundamentals of writing speeches, scripts for broadcast and classroom essays."
