Darien Fire Truck Event April 28 Benefits Camp Program
The event is co-hosted by OPUS for P2P and the Town of Darien Firefighters Foundation.

From Darien FD: This Sunday, April 28, 2019 at from 3:00 PM to 4:30 PM, OPUS for Person-to-Person will host a Red Engine Event at the Darien Fire Department as part of their fundraising efforts for the P2P Campership Program, which sends hundreds of underprivileged children to summer day camp, allowing their parents to continue to work through the summer to provide for their families. All are invited to the firehouse to meet Darien firefighters and get up close to their trucks and equipment. Enjoy sweet treats from an ice cream truck and face painting. A suggested donation of $25 per family will be collected at the door of the event, and to show appreciation for your support, OPUS members will tie a signature red balloon to your mailbox on Balloon Day, Saturday 5/11.
“We are happy to support OPUS for Person-to-Person and Balloon Day by welcoming our community to the Darien Fire Department for this family event. Our mission is to support the people of Darien and helping underprivileged kids is certainly at the top of the list,” said Firefighter Dan Anderson.
