2018 Darien Memorial Day Parade Date, Grand Marshal & Speaker Set

DARIEN, CT — Local resident Robert S. Mitchell will serve as the Grand Marshal of the 2018 Darien Memorial Day Parade, which is scheduled to start at 10 a.m. on May 28, according to organizers.

Patricia Parry, a Gold Star Mother, will speak at the ceremony following the parade at Spring Grove Veterans Cemetery.

The parade is slated to run from the Post Road near the Goodwives River Shopping Center to Spring Grove Cemetery.

Mitchell, who has lived in Darien since 1970, is a former Naval Officer and World War II veteran, writes the Darien Times.
