Darien Police Department Looks To Hire Certified Officers​

DARIEN, CT — The Darien Police Department is calling on certified officers to apply to fill open positions on or before March 5.

The position is open to officers who have maintained a CPCA certification for over two years and who have obtained a minimum of 30 credits from an accredited college or university.

Candidates are also required to complete and pass an in-house interview, physical agility test, police commission interview, polygraph exam, psychological exam, medical examination, drug screening and background check.

The job comes with a salary ranging from $71,133 to $98,941, sick leave, paid vacation, paid holidays, a pension plan, group life and health insurance, longevity increases and a tuition reimbursement program.
