Darien Resident Member Of Forbes World's Billionaires List
Andreas Halvorsen is Connecticut's fourth wealthiest resident.
DARIEN, CT — Andreas Halvorsen, a Darien resident and the founding partner and CEO of Viking Global Investors, is a member of Forbes World's Billionaires List for 2021, with a net worth of $6.3 billion, the publication reported.
Halvorsen, 59, founded Viking Global in 1999, and according to the firm's website, it manages $44 billion in capital for its investors. The company has offices in Greenwich, Hong Kong, London, New York and San Francisco.
His wealth rose by $1.5 billion over the previous year, and he is Connecticut's four richest resident behind Bridgewater Associates founder Ray Dalio ($20.3 billion); Point72 Asset Management founder and New York Mets owner Steve Cohen ($16 billion); and investor Alexandre Behring ($7 billion).
