Darien Road Closures Continue Following Sunday's Storm: Police
Additionally, Tokeneke Elementary School was closed Tuesday due to a lack of power.

DARIEN, CT — About a dozen roads in Darien remained closed Tuesday following Sunday's storm, as crews continued clean up and power restoration efforts in town, according to authorities.
Close to 200 Eversource customers in Darien were still without power as of 10:15 a.m. on Tuesday, including Tokeneke Elementary School, which was closed Tuesday for the second day. Remote learning at the school also was canceled.
The storm toppled trees, utility poles and wires throughout Darien and the region Sunday night, leaving as many as 25,000 around the state without power from Sunday into Monday.

"Over the last 24 hours power has been restored to a majority of those areas that initially lost it," said Darien police Tuesday, adding that "clean up and repairs will take several days but an estimate on 'global' restoration of power remains to be 11:45 p.m. this evening."
