Darien's Weekend Weather Forecast Includes Plenty of Sun

There is also a slight chance of showers on one day, and Monday's forecast could be the best of the year so far.

It’s not perfect, but we’re looking at a pretty nice weather weekend.

We’ll deal with some gray skies on Friday and a slight chance of showers each day of the weekend. The high temperature will be around 60 degrees.

Saturday is the best day of the weekend. The forecast calls for mostly sunny skies, temps in the mid 60s with a light wind. It will be a bit chilly Saturday night with temps back into the mid 40s.

On Sunday there is a very slight rain chance after 12 p.m. but plenty of sunshine is also predicted. The good news is the temps will be near 70 degrees.

Ironically, the best day of the year weather wise, may be on Monday when it’s forecast to be sunny and temperatures may hit the mid 70s.

Here is the National Weather Service’s Darien-specific forecast (as of the 10:52 a.m. update):

  • Friday afternoon: A chance of sprinkles. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 59. East wind around 8 mph.
  • Friday night: A chance of sprinkles before midnight. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 42. Southeast wind around 6 mph becoming calm in the evening.
  • Saturday: A slight chance of showers after noon. Mostly sunny, with a high near 66. Calm wind becoming south 5 to 7 mph in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 20%.
  • Saturday night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 46. South wind around 6 mph becoming calm in the evening.
  • Sunday: A slight chance of showers after noon. Mostly sunny, with a high near 71. Calm wind becoming west 5 to 8 mph in the morning. Chance of precipitation is 20%.
  • Sunday night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 50.
  • Monday: Sunny, with a high near 74.
  • Monday night:Partly cloudy, with a low around 56.
