DARIEN, CT — Coronavirus cases continue to drop across the country while the number of those who are fully vaccinated continues to rise, which means there is even more reason to celebrate this Independence Day. July 4 is almost here, so it's time to find out what Fourth of July fireworks and festivities are going on near you.

What: Town of Darien and Darien Parks and Recreation's Fireworks Display

Where: Darien High School

When: Thursday, July 15

The town's fireworks display, which was previously postponed to 2022, will return this year after all, town officials announced Thursday.

A rain date is scheduled for July 22.

Jami Gore, program supervisor for the parks and recreation department, said more details, including when parking passes will be available for purchase, will be announced next week.
