How Many Darien Residents Received Coronavirus Vaccine So Far?

DARIEN, CT — A total of 1,670 Darien residents have received their first dose of the coronavirus vaccine, according to newly released data from the Connecticut Department of Public Health.

There are 21,728 residents in Darien, and based on the numbers as of Feb. 1, 7.69 percent of them have received their first dose. Darien has 1,126 residents over the age of 75 and 883 of them have received their first dose or 78.42 percent, according to state health officials.

And if you're curious, Stamford has disseminated the vaccine to 6.83 percent of its population, while New Canaan is at 7.92 percent and Norwalk is at 6.64 percent.

Since the pandemic began in March, Darien has reported 953 confirmed cases of the virus and eight related deaths, according to state health officials.
