About KEYS: The funds from the concert will be used to continue KEYS' vision to transform the lives of underserved children through music education. Our students learn life skills such as preparation, patience, collaboration, and respect through the discipline of learning music and their participation in our ensembles. Our KEYS faculty teach and mentor our students using the power of music to expand their world view and discover new possibilities for their future.

KEYS programs include one-to-one instrument and group lessons in Bridgeport by a faculty of over 30 music educators in 24 Bridgeport schools. We have ensembles for chorus, two bands, and an orchestra that rehearse on Saturdays at the Klein Auditorium in Bridgeport, plus many summer camps and other collaborative programs. All of our in-school, after-school, and weekend lessons, lesson space, and instruments are provided free of charge to students. We are growing every day and poised for another round of expansion this Fall, initiating in-school programs through one-to-one lessons in two additional schools in Bridgeport, and expanding our programs at our current schools to provide opportunities for more Bridgeport students to enjoy the life-changing experience of a music education.
