Man Attacks 2 Women In Darien School Parking Lot: Police

Police said they are looking for a man who assaulted two women in a parking lot at Darien High School.

DARIEN, CT — Police said they are looking for a man who assaulted two women in a parking lot at Darien High School early Wednesday morning.

In a news release, Police Sgt. James Palmieri said the assault was reported a little after midnight, after which an officer quickly arrived at the school but was unable to locate a suspect.

Palmieri said officers determined two women were attacked as they stood outside of their vehicle by an unknown man, who was last seen fleeing the area on foot. Both women were treated for minor injuries and taken to Stamford Hospital.

Two acquaintances of the women who were in the area also witnessed the incident, Palmieri said.

Officer thoroughly searched the area, however they were unable to locate a suspect. Palmieri said investigators believe this was a "random and isolated incident."
