Man Walks out of Rings End Lumber with Air Compressor He Didn't Pay for

Darien police say a store surveillance video shows the man in the store and walking out of it; they'd like to talk to him.

A man who asked a Rings End Lumber clerk to see an air compressor then returned some items to the store, but left with the compressor without paying for it, Darien police said.

Police said the incident took place Thursday, April 16, and a store surveillance video shows the man walking in at 10:14 a.m., being helped by an employee to find a compressor, going to a counter to exchange some items for cash, then picking up the compressor and walking out of the building. The store reported the matter to police that day at 4:47 p.m.

Darien police are investigating the matter. They say the man is bald, was wearing dark sunglasses, a large sweatshirt, tan pants and work boots.
