Owners Of Darien Dogs Face Citations For Lack Of License: PD

Dog licensing in Darien is due every June.

DARIEN, CT — Beginning this month, if you're a Darien dog owner and your pet does not have a license, you could receive a police citation, according to authorities.

The town's Municipal Animal Control Officer began issuing citations on Nov. 1 to dog owners found delinquent of renewing or obtaining a dog license.

"Dog licensing is due every June 1st to the 30th," officials said in a statement. "Licenses can ONLY be obtained or renewed through the Town Clerk's Office at Darien Town Hall. Renewals can be completed annually through the mail during the month of June."
