A 41-year-old woman who has a protective order permitting her to contact her ex-husband only through messages on a particular website has been arrested on an accusation she violated that order when she directly emailed the former husband.

New Canaan police gave this account (an accusation not proven in court) of the matter:

Goulnara Mansourov, 41, of East Avalon Drive in New Canaan has a court order not to contact her ex-husband, a Darien resident, except through the Our Family Wizard website (set up to make those kinds of communications easier and less stressful).

But on Friday, April 24, the ex-husband showed New Canaan police copies of emails Mansourov sent directly to him that day. Police charged Mansourov with violation of a protective order. She was released on a promise to appear in court on Monday.
