Popular CT News Personality Announces Pregnancy
"We are overjoyed and so excited to share that we're expecting our first child early next year!"
Fox61 traffic reporter Maggie Slysz and her husband are expecting their first child in early 2020, she announced on Twitter and Facebook on Monday.
"Our family is growing!" Slysz wrote on Twitter. The couple announced their engagement in 2016. "We are overjoyed and so excited to share that we’re expecting our first child early next year!"
Slysz, a Connecticut native who graduated from Central Connecticut State University, joined Fox61 in 2013, and is a former newspaper reporter for both the New Britain Herald and The Bristol Press, according to her bio. She left the station for a spell beginning in 2016, writes New England 1, but returned.

She has a Polish background, including speaking the language, and was honored in 2015 with the title of "Little Poland Ambassador" by the Polonia Business Association for her work on behalf of the state's Polish-American community.
