Power Outage Reported In Downtown Darien: Police

Police said several significant intersections in the downtown area have no power to traffic signals.

DARIEN, CT — Darien's downtown area is experiencing a power outage Thursday evening due to a nearby transformer explosion, according to police.

Police Capt. Jeremiah Marron Jr. said in an email around 6 p.m. that several significant intersections have no power to traffic signals.

Residents are asked to treat these intersections as four-way stop signs until further notice.
