Road Reopens In Darien After Gas Main Break: UPDATE

The road was closed earlier in the day due to a gas main break, according to Darien police.

Update: Police said Middlesex Road reopened around 1:30 p.m. after an earlier closure due to a gas main break over the line in Stamford. Although the road is open, utility crews will be making repairs there throughout the day, police said.


DARIEN, CT — Middlesex Road (Rt. 106) in the area of Fresh Meadows Lane is closed Monday afternoon due to a gas main break over the line in Stamford, according to police.

Police said in a news release that westbound traffic on Middlesex Road is being detoured onto Holmes Avenue to West Avenue while repairs are being made.
