Road Construction Closes West Avenue In Darien Oct. 7-21
West Avenue in the area of Edgerton Street will be completely closed to eastbound traffic between 5 p.m. to 7 a.m. Oct. 7-21.

Beginning October 7th and continuing until October 21st, the eastbound lane of West Avenue in the area of Edgerton Street will be closed for construction.

Monday through Friday from approximately 7:00am to 3:30pm, traffic officers will be present to facilitate alternating traffic flow on West Ave. Minor delays should be expected and it is recommended that motorists seek alternate routes. The detour for eastbound traffic on West Ave will be in place each weekday starting at 3:30pm during this project.
From 5:00pm to 7:00am during the aforementioned dates, West Ave in the area of Edgerton St. will be completely closed to eastbound traffic.

Detour signage will be in place to direct eastbound traffic around the construction site. The westbound traffic lane on West Ave will remain open.
Lastly, pedestrians, bicyclists, joggers, etc., should seek alternate routes or proceed with caution in this area during times of construction.
