Snow Estimates Rising, Hour-By-Hour Forecast Of Heavy Snow In CT
The National Weather Service and meteorologists are upping the snow accumulation estimates for Connecticut. Here are the new projections.

As snowflakes begin to fall in parts of Connecticut this evening, local meteorologists and the National Weather Service are increasing snow accumulation estimates. Up to 10 inches of snow is now possible in parts of the state and at the coast freezing rain and sleet may mix in, which would cause even more travel problems tonight and Monday morning.
A Winter Storm Warning remains in effect for the entire state of Connecticut. The heaviest of the snow is expected after 9 p.m. and up until 4 a.m. Monday. The Monday morning commute to work will be difficult to say the least.
One notable element of the forecast is that temps are currently above freezing in Connecticut and temperatures will be just below or at freezing for much of this storm. This is why the snow will be very heavy. Temps will rise into the upper 30s on Monday, which will help with melting but for the rest of the week it will be cold with temps around 30 degrees.

CT's weather experts give their predictions:
Timing is everything. And most of this storm will be during a weekend and overnight. That helps somewhat. Imagine if this storm was in the middle of the day? Still clearly the roads will need time to be cleared tomorrow morning. Commute issues, school delays and/or closings. pic.twitter.com/Jhznku4xXY
