CT Weather: Snowy Tuesday Morning Followed by Brief Warmup

We're still talking about snow and we are in the second week of April.

If you have April 10, 2018 in your pool for when will be the last snow day in Connecticut for this season then you are a likely winner. Connecticut will see snowflakes early Tuesday and through the morning commute. The good news is that the snow is not expected to accumulate beyond a coating or so but it's still rather annoying to still have to see snowflakes this far into April.

Even if you love snow, I think you have to be tired of it at this point. In a look ahead at the weather forecast, temps may rise into the 70s on Saturday and then drop like a rock again and daytime highs on Sunday will only be in the low 40s. So we may get a brief glimpse of spring Saturday and it goes away just like that.

As for the here and now, the National Weather Service says a "weak area of low pressure approaches and then moves south of the area Tuesday morning. With temperatures falling into the 30s, this will bring with it a chance for some light rain and snow overnight into the day on Tuesday."

Once the rain and snow ends, the skies will clear in the afternoon and on Wednesday temps will rebound into the 50s with more sun.

What a wild upcoming weekend forecast too.
