Each year, St. Luke’s School holds its beloved Blues Band Concert, which provides an opportunity for students, faculty, and staff to perform together in front of the SLS community. This year, COVID restrictions prevented the concert from taking place in its usual time slot before Thanksgiving. Undeterred, the music department reimagined the event and moved it outside. Led by Blues Band Director Peter Valera, the concert took place on the Class of 2018 Field on Thursday, May 27.

This year’s Blues Band Concert gave off a quintessential musical festival vibe, complete with the sun shining and the music pumping. Students, faculty, and staff grabbed blankets and lawn chairs, donned sunglasses, and sprawled out across the field to enjoy the show. Family and friends were invited to join in via livestream.
