Thieves Break Into Specs Eyeglass Store In Darien: Police

DARIEN, CT — Thieves broke into the Specs eyeglass store on Tokeneke Road on April 13, and stole an undisclosed amount of merchandise, according to Darien police.

Officers were called to the store by the store's alarm system at about 11:45 p.m.

"Upon arrival officers observed the glass front door to the business had been broken out," police said. "Inside the store officers observed that some of the display cases had been smashed, and merchandise appeared to be missing."

Two suspects were seen on surveillance video breaking the glass door, police said, but no description has been disclosed. The break-in remains under investigation.
