Tokeneke Road Sidewalk Replacement Project Starts Thursday

DARIEN, CT — The sidewalk on Tokeneke Road in Darien, between Silver Lakes Drive and Rainbow Circle, is scheduled to be replaced beginning Thursday morning, according to the town's Department of Public Works.

The project calls for the asphalt sidewalk to be replaced with a concrete sidewalk that will include handicap ramps at intersections. The new sidewalk will be in the same place as the existing sidewalk.

Construction will begin Thursday morning and is expected to be completed before August. The area will remain open to traffic during construction, and Darien police officers or other traffic control workers will be on site.
