YWCA Parent Awareness & Darien Library Teaming Up for Book Group

A forum to read, learn and talk together about current parenting books

The YWCA Darien/Norwalk Parent Awareness and the Darien Library are partnering to create a Book Club to offer parents a forum to read, learn and talk together. Books will be chosen targeting specific age ranges: Early Childhood, Elementary Aged and Pre-Teen/Teen. Each book will have its own daytime book group led by a librarian and will meet in the Darien Library Community Room.

The program is designed for parents who are eager to explore various parenting topics and actively discuss the information they have learned. Books are selected by a group of librarians and YWCA Parent Awareness team members.

It will kick-off October 21st, 7:00PM at the Darien Library with author Pamela Paul . Pamela, editor of the NY Times Book review, is the co-author of “How to Raise a Reader”. The book is intended to support parents at ALL ages and stages in their quest to raise and support lifetime readers.
