Chester Budget Passed

A vote was held both in person and via zoom for the town of Chester's 2021-22 fiscal year budget.

CHESTER, CT — On May 19th the residents of the town of Chester voted to adopt a budget for the Town of Chester for fiscal year July 1, 2021, through June 30, 2022 in the amount of $14,860,993, as was recommended by the Board of Finance.

The meeting was held both in-person and via Zoom.

The voted on budget represented an increase of 2.12 percent or $308,975 over the current year's budget. Consequently, the Board of Finance set the new mill rate at 29.5, which is an increase of .88 mills over the current mill rate of 28.62.
