Cold and Refreshing; Something New Is On Its Way To Deep River!
On Saturday, July 3rd, Deep River Ice will be opening its doors for the first time in the center of town.
DEEP RIVER, CT — The timing is just right for Deep River Ice to open!
In the heart of summertime heat, located smack dab in the middle of downtown Deep River, Deep River Ice's owners Chelsea Fremut and her fiance David McDonald are excited to open their new business and bring a healthy, light, refreshing alternative to ice cream to the local community.
"David has been eating this Italian Ice since the 80's and he loves it," said Fremut. "There is nothing like it around here so we wanted to bring something we love to the area and share it with the community."

The couple will be getting their Italian Ice from Micalizzil's, a well-known Italian Ice business which is based in Bridgeport. They will also be carrying a variety Gifford's Ice Cream, from Maine.
Planning a grand opening on Saturday, July 3rd, from 1 to 9 p.m., Fremut, a native of Deep River, said she can't wait for people to come in and try out the flavors. They will be carrying the usual Italian Ice favorites such as lemon, pineapple, cherry, blue raspberry, grape, lime and orange. And, they will also be carrying some very different flavors, which are sure to be fast favorites, such as; Swedish fish, bubblegum, root beer, watermelon and rainbow.

With a background in customer service, Fremut said she loves people and can't wait for her business to become a regular part of the community of downtown Deep River.
Deep River Ice plans on being open Tuesdays - Sundays 1 -9 p.m.
