Connecticut Doing Well To Vaccinating Residents
As of April 15, 1,037,446 Connecticut residents have received two doses of the COVID-19 vaccines and are considered fully vaccinated.

ESSEX, CT — As of April 15, 1,037,446 Connecticut residents have received two doses of the COVID-19 vaccines and are considered fully vaccinated, with another 1,617,983 first doses of the vaccine administered statewide. Overall, 2,550,660 doses of the vaccine have been administered statewide, with all three of those figures taking into account 104,769 doses administered of the one-shot Johnson & Johnson vaccine.
The state said 55 percent of adults over the age of 16 have now received their first dose, with age groups broken out as follows:
87 percent of residents over the age of 65 have received at least one vaccine dose
73 percent of residents between the ages of 55 and 64 have received at least one vaccine dose
56 percent of residents between the ages of 45 and 54 have received at least one vaccine dose
34 percent of residents between the ages of 16 and 44 have received at least one vaccine dose
There continues to be strong demand across all age groups for the vaccines, the state reported.
