Covid-19 Positive Case Impacts 41 Students

ESSEX, CHESTER, DEEP RIVER CT, — The following e-mail was just sent out from the Region 4 School District:

"Dear Valley Regional and John Winthrop School Communities,
This morning we were informed of a positive COVID-19 case impacting Valley Regional High School and John Winthrop Middle School. The last date the individual attended VRHS and rode a bus was Friday, May 7, 2021.
This case impacts 33 students at Valley Regional High School and 8 students at John Winthrop Middle School. The administration has notified families of students who had verified close contact with the known positive case. All individuals who had close contact with the known case will also be contacted by local health departments."
