Deep River Fire Department Asking For Resident Support
Town vote on Fire Truck purchase June 29th at 7 p.m.
DEEP RIVER, CT — The Deep River Fire Department is seeking the help of the community to support their endeavor to purchase a town fire truck. The decision to allow the town to enter into a contract for the purchase of the vehicle will be put to a town vote on Tuesday, June 29th at 7 p.m. at the town hall.
The Fire Department put out a plea to the residents of Deep River via a Facebook post which read, "The Officers and members of the Deep River Fire department are looking for support from the taxpayers of the Town Of Deep River for the approval to purchase the new Fire Truck.
This has been a long process for us and a lot of work has been invested to build the best possible truck to serve the needs of the Town Of Deep River for years to come.

This is to replace our 1983 Pierce Engine 5-5-3. The new engine will be a state-of-the-art Engine that will run first due out of the downtown station on Union St.
There is a final vote of the taxpayers to tomorrow “Tuesday the 29th” 7 p.m. at the Town Hall to allow the town to enter into a contract for the purchase.
