Fernwood Holistic Health Opens for Natural and Integrative Health

Fernwood Holistic Health, a new patient-centered healthcare practice offering holistic healthcare services and treatments for acute and chronic conditions, has opened at 1921 Boston Post Road (Trolley Square) in Westbrook, Connecticut.

Founded by Naturopathic Physician Dana Krete, ND, Fernwood Holistic Health treats patients holistically and individually for a multitude of conditions such as acute and chronic pain, sports injuries, gastrointestinal disorders and food allergies, asthma and respiratory issues, autoimmune conditions, fatigue, headaches, migraines, stress, insomnia, weight management, diabetes and more.

Dr. Krete completed a seven-year post-graduate education, earning a Doctorate of Naturopathic Medicine and Masters of Acupuncture at National University of Natural Medicine in Portland, Oregon. She has practiced in Connecticut for more than 10 years, including seven years at Middlesex Health Cancer Center's Integrative Medicine program, providing acupuncture to ease the side effects of cancer treatments. She has a particular interest in treating digestive disorders, hormonal imbalances, PMS, perimenopause and menopause, chronic fatigue, Lyme disease and other tick-borne illnesses.
Joining Dr. Krete at Fernwood Holistic Health are:

• Alicia Demartin, LAc – acupuncture, specializing in pain management, orthopedics and Neuro-acupuncture for PTSD, ADHD, anxiety, depression, concussion, multiple sclerosis, fibromyalgia, Parkinson’s disease, epilepsy, and post-stroke recovery
• Amy Calandruccio, LAc – acupuncture, specializing in treatment of pain, neuropathies, headaches, migraines, and nausea caused by pregnancy or cancer treatment
• Beth Jezyk, LMT – massage therapy, including Swedish, deep tissue and Ayurvedic Abhyanga massage, cupping, gua sha, craniosacral therapy and prenatal massage.

COVID-19 Safety
Fernwood Holistic Health takes every precaution to protect the safety of patients, practitioners and office staff. Treatment areas are sanitized with non-toxic EPA-approved disinfectants after each patient; single-use sterile needles are used for acupuncture, and fine-particle air purifiers are used in the waiting area and all treatment rooms. Client scheduling adheres to safe space requirements.
