Only One New Covid-19 Positive Case In The Tri-Towns Since 5/27

Covid-19 news is moving in the right direction.

CHESTER, DEEP RIVER, ESSEX, CT — The daily Covid-19 positivity rate in Connecticut is currently .98 percent. Good news!

In the town of Chester, since May 27th, there has been one reported positive Covid-19 case. In the towns of Deep River and Essex, there have been zero Covid -19 cases since May 27th. These numbers are a testament to the community's commitment to curbing the spread of the virus, following CDC recommendations and being respectful and courteous to the requests of local business owners, friends, neighbors and the school system.

The news is good throughout the state as well as the number of Connecticut hospital beds holding COVID-19 patients has dropped nine, to 85 as of Thursday, June 3rd.
