Upcoming Sustainable Essex Programs

The Sustainable Essex Environmental Discussion ("SEED") event series continues.

ESSEX, CT — The Sustainable Essex Environmental Discussion (“SEED”) event series continues with two great events scheduled for July!

On Wednesday, July 14th. , 12:00 Noon, we are hosting “The CT River at Essex: A Local History of Thatchbed Island and Surrounds”. This will be a lunchtime discussion with Jeff Going, Chair of the Essex Harbor Management Commission, about the development of Essex Harbor and the changes to Thatchbed Island, shaped by the CT River, over the years.

On Thursday, July 29th, 12:00 Noon, we present "CT River Inspiration – A Talk with Artist Kate Hair”. Kate will share her beautiful artwork and discusses how her art is inspired by nature and the beauty of the Connecticut River Valley. She will also share how she seeks to communicate, through her art, the importance of environmental stewardship.
