Valley Regional Boys Basketball Rally Votes At Last Second

The final boys basketball poll was released the evening of March 29th and Valley Regional HIgh School garnered some votes.

ESSEX, CHESTER, DEEP RIVER, CT — The final boys basketball poll was released the evening of March 29th. After not getting a single vote all season, the Valley Regional High (VRHS) School boys basketball team received some well-deserved year-end balloting.

During the winter basketball season, a panel of 19 Connecticut sports media members, (including Patch’s Tim Jensen) vote on the best high school boys basketball teams in the state. VRHS did not receive a single vote all season; however, after winning 10 games and losing 4, they made it to the Southern Connecticut Conference championship game, where they lost 62-54 to undefeated Morgan (which finished 15-0 and ranked 11th in the state). In the final poll of the season, Valley Regional received some votes for the first time all year. Yay VRHS! Congratulations go out to the Boys Basketball team.
