2 Charged With Attempted Kidnapping In Farmington
Farmington police said they have made two arrests in a kidnapping case.

FARMINGTON, CT — Two people have been arrested in what Farmington police are describing as a planned attempted kidnapping.
Taken into custody were David O'Brien, 30, and Lauren Murphy, 31, police said. They were located in Hartford and served warrants, a report indicates.

Charges for Murphy include

The charges stem from a Jan. 29 incident at 209 Farmington Ave., according to a report. An address search indicated that is an American Red Cross office.

O'Brien and Murphy were being held on respective court-set bonds of $500,000 and $450,000, police said.
O'Brien is currently in serious condition in Hartford Hospital with what police described in a repot as "self-inflicted injuries."
The victim, Murphy and O'Brien knew each other prior to the incident, and police said it "was not a random act."
